Thank you for your generous sponsorship contribution to support Guilford Youth Football and Cheerleading (GYFC) during the 2023 season. Our season sponsorship program is an important component of our fundraising efforts each year. GYFC sponsors help to create memorable experiences for each of our football players, cheerleaders and teams.

Guilford Youth Football and Cheerleading was fortunate to have thirty-three local businesses and individuals join our ranks as 2023 season sponsors. You are an important part of our program, and we are grateful you decided to help make this season a success!

This year, we welcomed 220 football players and cheerleaders. We experienced growth in our overall participation including a 20% increase in our flag program and an incredible 65% increase in our cheerleading program. We fielded five tackle football teams in 4th – 8th grade. The flag program fielded a kindergarten and 1st grade squad and a 2nd and 3rd grade team. On the cheer side, we had three sideline teams with athletes in kindergarten through 8th grade and two competition teams with athletes in 2nd through 8th grade.

On the field, four out of our five tackle teams qualified for the championship playoffs with two teams advancing to the semifinal round. Our 5th grade team played in the Shoreline Youth Football Conference championship game, ultimately losing, 26-24, in an epic game that was decided on the final play. Our competition cheer squads tested themselves at the Local and State competitions against some of the top programs in the area, including some which have nationally ranked teams.

We celebrate all of our players and coaches for proudly representing Guilford on and off the field. Guilford Youth Football and Cheerleading has become a consistent feeder program to the GHS football and cheerleading programs. Our success as a program would not be possible without the generous support from friends like you. Thank you!

The Guilford Football & Cheerleading Family is united in its focus to create a positive and successful football & cheer culture in the town of Guilford. By engaging Guilford students in the ultimate team sports of football & cheerleading, we are committed to building programs that teach and enhance life skills while providing opportunities to succeed on and off the field or mat with the support of teammates, coaches, families, and the community.

Guilford Youth Football & Cheerleading and the Guilford High School Football program will continue to create opportunities for players throughout the program to interact, develop stronger relationships, offer volunteer and leadership pathways while growing the overall goodwill for Guilford Football & Cheerleading in the community.
