At the beginning of the year, we shared a brief survey and requested parents provide feedback about their child's experience with GYFC along with parent reflections about various areas including overall experience, coaching, communication and skill development. 

In total, we received 52 parent responses. This figure represents approximately 22% of our registered participants from the 2024 season. Ideally, we would prefer a higher number of respondents, but the feedback collected provides us with valuable information and illustrates a general "temperature" of the program. 

Overall feedback was very positive. However, a small number of respondents shared less than positive reviews in certain areas. The GYFC board is thankful for all feedback and has already begun discussing ways to improve our interactions with parents and, ultimately, enhance the experience for all players. We will never be perfect, but we will work to further refine our coaching development practices and procedures to ensure each of the volunteers stepping into coaching roles are equipped with the most current philosophies, techniques and approaches to coaching young athletes as guided by our partners and affiliates including USA Football.

In summary, parents shared:

• 85% of respondents agreed or strongly agreed their experience with GYFC was positive.
• 85% of respondents agreed or strongly agreed their child’s experience with GYFC was positive.
• 89% of respondents agreed or strongly agreed their child was positively educated in their sport by the volunteer coaches in GYFC.
• 81% of respondents agreed or strongly agreed their child’s skills in their sport increased/improved due to the volunteer coaches in GYFC.
• 85% of respondents agreed or strongly agreed the communication from their coach/coaches was timely and informative.
• 85% of respondents agreed or strongly agreed they would or have recommended others to join GYFC.
• 21% of respondents indicated they have been involved with GYFC for more than 5 years, 33% indicated they have been involved for 3-5 years, 27% indicated they have been involved for 1-2 years and 19% indicated they have been involved for less than 1 year.
• 88% of respondents indicated their child participated in one of our football programs while 12% indicated their child participated in one of our cheerleading programs.
